One of my girlfriends and I made wreaths out of pear tree suckers today. We’re going to let them dry and then decorate them. Can’t wait to see the final product!

I finished making the anniversary gift set. So now it is the baggage tags and passport booklets. All in all, they turned out well!

I also potted up the peppers and broccoli; then seeded cucumber, black zucchini, sun flowers and snap dragons. I have six kinds of herbs left to start and then a few direct sew plants but I think I’m off to a great start!  Six weeks left till frost free nights.

Did you know that leather represents the third anniversary? With that in mind, I made some baggage tags today.

Made some eucalyptus bath bombs today. Went for a nice little hike to stretch the legs as well.

It turns out there were three Girl Scouts in the troop that delivered our cookies today. So I quickly made one more poster for them. They were well received (and so we’re the cookies!)

Today’s was watercolored daisies. Also, I submitted two entries to paint a murals at our local wildlife center. It would be such an honor to be chosen to paint one of the enclosures! Even if I’m not chosen, I’m super excited to see the enclosures being updated! We’ll see what happens…

Moving day! The plants have left my house and been transferred to the greenhouse!  Let’s hope they survive! I also seeded some borage, bergamot, camomile and marigold. The paintings today were roses and echinacea.

Did you know if you order Girl Scout cookies online they can personally deliver to your house? That’s pretty great is my book, so I made two Girl Scout related signs as a thank you for when my cookies are dropped off. Also, more flowers and a moose visit.

Today’s craft is another water color. Checking on the outside garden today, I was pleasantly surprised at how many plants survived the snow cover. Thyme, oregano, onions, carrots, chives, sage and parsley were still growing and raspberry leaves are budding.

Everyone has a different view of what art is, or what is should be. Art in its truest form is just an expression of self. So todays craft is a watercolor of flowers; one drooping, one blooming and one budding. It’s a good analogy for my feelings this week too. Deflated by some peoples’ actions; blossoming with new knowledge, opportunities and friendships; hope budding for the future.

I hadn’t put the paints away yet, so I spent my morning painting again. I quite like the six canvasses I did today. I decided to let them dry a bit before taking pictures and completely forgot about them until I crawled into bed. Needless to say, most of the pictures will come tomorrow.

I also planted some spearmint, thyme, sage and yellow squash. The window growing area is getting quite full. Soon I’ll be able to move them to the greenhouse. It’s still snowy outside and more snow is in the forecast, but it looks like we are done with low temps below 20F for a while and the thaw is happening quickly.
