Anatomy sketches inspired by the eight x-rays I had today. Filing this one under “things that happen when you fall down stairs and ignore the pain for months”. Silly me. Anyways, the turkeys are back! Hurray!

Designed a logo for the observatory we are building. Also, any ideas on how to best pot up four root bound 15 year old cacti?

In art, and in life, certain questions should be asked… What are your thought on this? How did that make you feel?

Happy Thanksgiving! Unsurprisingly, the flock of 25 or so wild turkeys has not been seen in a day or two. I think they are in hiding. But a very, very cool bird was spotted this morning instead! A MERLIN! He was wet, fluffy, preening and didn’t stay too long, but still I am so excited about this! I hope he comes back! (Sorry for the poor picture quality.)

Returning with the right tools this time *eyeroll*, the kitchen floor in one of the units was finished and blinds were hung in another unit.

Finally decided how I want to finish the chevron quilt & sewed the borders onto the quilt top. Then got it set up on the racks for quilting. Forgot to take a picture of it though, so I that will have to wait until it’s finished. Also painted some flowers while watching the wild turkey roost today. I’m glad they feel at home here.

Today was a lesson in not being able to do what you want if you don’t have the right tool. *face palm* So instead here is a painting of some ornaments. Also, it dusted snow this morning, which was by far the best part of the day.

Made a snuggly blanket for a friend’s upcoming grandbaby. The back has whales, so it’s a mix of the southwest and the northwest.

Turned on Christmas music, decorated the Christmas tree and painted some cards. Tis the season.

Meh. I got the flu shot and the Covid vaccine booster yesterday. Now today I am dead to the world. The turkeys came to check on me.

Finished another scarf today. I also had a job interview today. I’m a firm believer that when I’m supposed to do something the path is very obvious, clear and not full of obstacles. This seems to be a good match.

Finally received some slate in stock that didn’t arrive broken. So of course I had to have a little laser fun today…

Finished with the quilting today. It was lots of practice with ruler work! Not sure what color I’ll do the binding in yet.
