True story… the county I live in does not pick up recycling and their dump does not recycle plastics. So we actually clean, sort and save all our recycling and drive them into the city to be recycled every month.

It always surprises me how people can take simple concepts and twist them to fit a narrative without having any proof. That is why I believe in science and fact based decisions.

Finished the September quilt today. The picture doesn’t really do it justice, but it is quite beautiful. It shows the moon phases and planets.

I hear there is a garlic festival happening tomorrow. Thought I’d paint a rock for the occasion.

Todays bird is a ring necked pheasant. Ialso started ripping out the veggie garden to prep for winter and other yard projects. In doing so, I ended up drying parsley and basil today.

Continuing with the bird project, here is a California quail. (They roam far for having such tiny legs!) Also, I’m blessed to be filming a wedding today.

Well I suppose I should keep making progress on the BirdsOfPoC project I started earlier this year. With that in mind, here is a mountain quail.

This morning can be summed up by fan art while watching TNG and picking giant zucchini from the garden.

The up side of today is that I had the privilege and time to do art in the park. The down side of today is that I had to wait six hours to get my car fixed. It was a fair trade.

Watercolor on cardstock.

Street art.

Tuesday, September 13, 2022

I made a bunch of cards this morning. Then I packed them up in my suitcase with my watercolors and headed off to the city for a few days. We’ll see if I end up painting them. I really am digging the black and white patterns.

If you haven’t ever checked out the murals in Nelson, BC, you definitely should. They actually have an international mural festival there every year, so the town is covered in them. Let me tell you, they are amazing! Also, I painted a rock. (Hurray for paint pens that travel well!)
