It snowed a few inches today, which was a nice warm break from the recent negative temperatures. Also used up some of the left over paint from yesterday just playing.

Some paintings develop a life of their own. This one was no exception. It’s finished “for now”. As in, if I have time in the next few weeks I’ll come back to add actual flowers in the foreground.

Would you believe it’s snowing again? I love that the snow is natures insulation blanket protecting the ground and plants from the extreme cold temperatures. How fascinating our world is!

Winter weather is back.

 

Guess what got labels created and applied today?! Yep. You got it… The 2022 peach and plum wines! True story… I created the colorful labels, but wasn’t fond of the final version. So I created the black and white version, which I like much better. Then I made all the labels. Only at the end did I put them on the bottles. And you know what? The colored version looks fantastic on the bottles. Live and learn, right? LOL! Also, things are sprouting!

Today I put up a ceramic tile backsplash around the Dog Wash (aka the laundry sink). Now I don’t have to worry about wet walls during doggie bath time.

Alright, alright, alright! It’s been many months in the making, however today was bottling day for our 2022 wines. On the left is “Just Peachy” made with local peaches. On the right is “Plummy: A Sweet Farewell” named in honor of my mom’s plum trees that provided us fruit for so many years. (By the way, this year’s Plummy was made with the yellow plum varieties.) I also finished the February seeding. Delphiniums, lavender and gloriosa daisies were added to the seedling racks. Also, the dahlia bulbs were brought out of storage to start walking them up.

It’s official! I started planting seeds today! Four types of tomatoes, thyme, two types of petunias, and snapdragons are on the racks.
