Metallic watercolors don’t photograph super well. Someday I may have to break out the scanner. The recent paintings are so much prettier in person.

More from the gardening prep front. The conservation district tree and plant sale started this morning, so of course I had to put my order in. I’m excited for these bare root beauties to come in April.

Getting geared up for the 2024 garden. This is going to be the year the front veggie garden is finished. I ordered 10 new garden beds today, planned out what will be in them and in the side garden & have an idea of what the fence will be like. The placement of the new beds will look something like one of these pictures.

Finished the queen sized space quilt. Lacking a large enough space to display it, so this picture will have to do. Super blessed to witness some wolves hunting on the ice this morning.

Things that just seem unreal… It was -35.7F this morning. Super glad to have a blanket of snow protecting the plants from this arctic blast.

If it wasn’t -15F out this morning with additional wind chill, I might get around to clearing the recent snow off the deck. But until then, being warm under the covers sounds great!

You know the quote “If you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it’s stupid.” Yeah, that’s wrong. It’s not the fishes fault you’re trying to get it to climb a tree, that’s on you. It knows it’s worth.
