Okay. I’m loving this one. Geothermal vent, giant tube worms, giant clams and deep sea crabs. Quilting with seascape features in the forground. In the negative space quilting with the story of chemosynthesis.

What is this sketch? Good question because it barely expresses the vision in my head but I don’t want to take it further. It’s a geothermal vent on one side, giant tube worms on the other and sort of a lattice connection showing the relationship between the two.

Another concept: a giant sea squid, abyss style walls and lights rays streaming down from the top.

A different rendition of yesterday’s idea on good vs bad, and the sea angel and dragon fish.

Okay, ignore the fact that the sketch is super bad… it is only a quilting concept after all. The idea is good vs bad using the sea angle and dragon fish, with the juxtaposition of sharp, jagged geothermal vent and soft, billowing stream.

Get ready for a few days of bad doodles while I’m thinking about sea creatures for an upcoming event.

Went to the quilt show today. Decided I’m going to enter the 2025 Cherrywood Challenge. Here is hoping…
