I spent a few hours working on things for the up coming star party. These starry jewelry items were inspired by those plans.

Tuesdays twinsday. I knitted another classic cream worsted wool scarf. It is pictured below with its twin from yesterday.

I attended two classes today. One was on making hot chocolate bombs at the local community center. I'm a huge fan of community events and had never been to this community center, so I felt blessed to attend this event.

The other class was on art businesses. I learned that as an artist I should always come across as a professional and never show anything personal. Y'all I actually laughed. After spending decades being the professional that did not show anything personal, I can tell you that my current journey is about allowing myself the power of authentic self expression.

SPRING IS COMING!

Opened up the cream wool to make a scarf.

It’s been a few days since the last major snow storm and it was beautiful out. Couldn’t ask for better conditions to plow out the road to the lower part of the property.

Finished some of the quilted place mats today. I have one left in this series, but I need just a little bit more black fabric.

Everything about this project was really fun. The stenciling, the drawing, the water coloring, the free motion quilting and the general space theme. It was a good mixture of arts.

In other news, I’m looking forward to all the ways and locations these will be used. Placemats at dinners, chair holders during events and maybe even as a name tag in the window of our RV.

Quilted placemats. Watercolor on cotton.

Fresh snow. Yeah, it blends in with all the other snow.

I know I said I wasn’t going to do anymore watercolor on unsealed ceramic, but since I did one I might as well have a set of four. Right? So I completed the other three today. Even if watercolor on ceramic isn’t my jam, I’m still loving the spring echinaceas.

I’m also reconsidering if I really want to make placemats and table runners out of the echinaceas and blue daisies I painted last week or if I want to turn them into a quilt. I just can’t picture them covered in spaghetti sauce - LOL!

It’s the beginning of the fourth month of snow season. It snowed earlier in the week and will snow again in a day or two. I should install a depth gauge somewhere so we know how much is actually out there. For now, it’s sunny with blue skies, a high of 31F and sunset isn’t until about 4:45 tonight. The days are definitely getting longer and spring is coming!
