Today was a beading day. More precisely, it was a beading organization day that happened to result in making a necklace and bracelet.

Necklace and bracelet, glass beads.

Spring is coming.

Cricut crafts for the win! Put vinyl on some cute little chicks and carrots for Easter. They’re adorable!

Today’s craft is an Easter wreath. And now it is snowing… again. I guess spring is only here in my mind so far.

Reverse canvasses seem to be a thing, so I thought I’d give it a try. Made some cute bathroom signs which turned out alight. I’m glad I tried this technique but I feel no need to use it again in the future.

Also I fixed this beautiful pearl necklace. It was originally a gift to me about 20 years ago, but its needed a new clasp and to be restrung for many years now. I feel good that it’s finally happened.

Today is two sided garden label day! Also, a dahlia gift for a neighbor. This is fitting because dahlias should always be gifted. In fact, these plants originally were from one of my mom’s old neighbors, gifted to my mom, then gifted to me because dahlias spread. Two bulbs last year is 30 bulbs this year…

One of our neighborhood moose visited this morning too.

Busy day, but I managed to eke out a bracelet to match the necklace from yesterday. Hopefully there will be more time to create something tomorrow.

Bracelet. Stone and glass.

Those whisky clouds are my favorites.

Today’s craft was a necklace. It’s been a hot minute since I made a necklace, so I thought it was time. I also got some flowers seeded.

There’s still a lot of snow outside but the greenhouse hit the mid 90s today (YIKES!) without any additional heat source.  The overnight temps are still in the teens for a few more weeks, but soon (so soon!) all the little seedlings will be going to live out there.

Necklace, stone & glass.

Nasturtiums and petunias are planted.

Lavender is poking through the snow after being cover in snow for 5 months! They live!

Another beautiful day for a bike ride.

Saturday, March 5, 2022

Todays craft was a watercolor. It turned out alright. It was such a beautiful day outside that I ended up biking for 10 miles even though it was 35 degrees out.

Watercolor on paper.

Beautiful day.

Todays craft was a macrame plant hanger.  The pepper plants have spouted. All the plants so far only have seed leaves. I am anxious for the true leaves to come in so I can complete the first transplanting.

Pepper, pepper, peppers!

Used up the rest of this material making this pretty quilted make up case. It turned out lovely. In other news, a year ago today, we had no snow. I am ready for no snow again.

Another rainy, foggy day.

Made a fun St Patrick’s Day decoration. I know I’m all about spring right now, but St. Patrick’s Day is one of my favorite holidays.
