Did anyone else realize it’s Friday the 13th?

 I went to a class about orchards this evening. It was fairly insightful.

Lighthouses are about hope and so is this cucumber. It’s been such a weird year with the late season freezes and then 100+ degrees almost immediately afterwards. This is the first cucumber and they are finally, finally coming on.

The jar is a small experiment for making sauerkraut with brassica leaves instead of the cabbage head. I’m always looking for different ways to use what we have grown.
