All of the March seedlings are done. The main ones were dahlias, snapdragons, nasturtiums, and passion fruit (I’ll try a tropical fruit in zone 4… why not? LOL!) Also, I made an adorable gecko.

The tomatoes grew their first true leaves and their stems were pretty long, so it was time to pot them up today. They were in potted, the stems gently wrapped around their dirt ball, then then they were buried up to their necks in the next larger pot size. Doing this a few times while seedlings is how strong heathy plants are made that can absorb lots of nutrients and water out of the ground.

It snowed a few inches today, which was a nice warm break from the recent negative temperatures. Also used up some of the left over paint from yesterday just playing.

Some paintings develop a life of their own. This one was no exception. It’s finished “for now”. As in, if I have time in the next few weeks I’ll come back to add actual flowers in the foreground.
