Finished putting the new flooring in the living room. Doing some ruler work on the Moxie. I may or may not have accidentally ran a needle though my finger tonight too. I’ve been sewing since I was in kindergarten and let me tell you, there is a first time for everything!

Made some hats to match yesterday’s scarf. 150 rows per hat is just about perfect for this weight of yarn, Also installed new flooring in another bedroom and hallway today.

It’s been a hot minute since I’ve knitted a scarf but honestly I really enjoy making them. I’ve never made one for myself and I thought this green color was charming, so this 340 row scarf is all mine.

Taking care of my civic responsibilities… JURY DUTY! Also, the neighborhood moose does not like having his breakfast of tree branches disturbed and seemed a little grumpy, so we turned around on our walk this morning.

Made a quick sketch. Installed some flooring at a rental property. And… wait for it… saw the most wonderful display of auroras from our deck. They were SO amazing!

After two trips into the city (5 hours! groan!) to pick up missing parts the quilt shop forgot to include, the Moxie XL, the loft frame, the bobbin winder and the light bar have been all assembled. Since it’s been such a hassle with the dealer, I thought an immediate test was in order. So without further ado, may I present the first item I have ever quilted on the long arm. The machine worked beautifully and it was so much fun to use. There is a whole new skill set to learn here which is exciting. All in all, I think I did alright for the first time.

I put together the HQ Loft Frame this morning. I’m very mechanical inclined and love doing things like this, but I got to say there were a few moments where I was a bit miffed at whoever wrote the directions. You know, like when I was unscrewing and re-screwing a part for the sixth time. Ugh. It also did not help that mid assembly I realized the dealer forgot to give me a very main component, so I can’t actually complete the build today. They are, of course, closed today. For now, it remains a pretty & expensive non functional room ornament.
