I’m done planting until late April. Today I planted early white hybrid cauliflower, gypsy hybrid broccoli, green gem hybrid brussles sprouts, early jersey wakefield cabbage*, kale blend, arugula, jalapeƱo peppers, habanero peppers, chives, Alaskan nasturtiums, petunias, alyssum, and snapdragons. * = heirloom varieties. The seedlings racks are officially fun! And I have a fig and kiwi that are starting to leaf out already!

This year I thought I’d be smart and wait until March to start planting my seedlings. Yes, I know last year I swore so wasn’t going to do them this year because of my travel schedule, but I just couldn’t help myself. This is one of my favorite parts of gardening! Anyways, this is what I seeded today… Dawn giant leeks, evergreen long white onions, baby choi, midnight moon hybrid eggplants, rainbow bell peppers, yellow pear tomatoes*, vivacious hybrid tomatoes, 4th of July hybrid tomatoes, black cherry tomatoes*, summer girl hybrid tomatoes, red currant tomatoes*, and yellow currant tomatoes*. * = heirloom varieties. Also, sterilizing more soil so I can continue planting tomorrow.

It’s all about the birds and the bees today. Also, did you know that a group of giraffes is called a tower?

If you’re cold, they’re cold. Bring them in and warm them up.

Planted 20 ever bearing strawberry plants today. And the turkeys have finally lost their minds as they have started hanging out in the tree tops.

Bare root strawberries.
