There are bad days and then there are the days that make you question why you bother. The market started fine today. Then an unprecedented storm rolled through. Cold. Rain. Wind. Hail. Thunder. Lightening. And of course, the up drafts that will pull weighted tents skyward.

Happy market day. It was the first pepper day of the season for me and I sold out of all the sweet bell pepper. I didn’t think they’d be that popular! I also sold out of all the black cherry tomatoes. This really cute old farmer walking with a stick for a cane took a look at my black cherry tomatoes, nodded his approval and said “those are the finest tomatoes ever created!” It made me smile because every year, they are my most popular varietal.  

 

Bringing peppers and currant tomatoes to the market for the first time this season, so I thought I’d make some labels.

It’s the first day of the farmers market for me! All in all, it was a pretty good day. People loved the book marks and plant tags too! Will need to make some more this week.
